Meet our team!

Jade Elkind: Physical Therapist, Founder
Hello! My name is Jade Elkind. I am the founder and physical therapist of Clinch Performance and Recovery. I've been a practicing PT since 2014 and graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
A lot of people here know me as the "person that does crazy sh*t.". Hey, I'll take that as a compliment! The thing is, I have a passion for endurance sports and I believe that challenges help us grow.

I've taken on a few challenges over the years: Mixed martial arts: I had a fight at the Silver Legacy back in 2018 which was an interesting experience to say the least. I love training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (I will be a forever blue belt)., I am a 5x Ironman finishes: 2023 Texas and California, 2024 California and Arizona, and 2025 Lake Placid. Currently, I am training for 2026 Jacksonville and Lake Placid. Never in my life did I think that I would be a 5x Ironman finisher.
I also have a few ultramarathons: 2024 Silver State 50/50 50k and the Big Chief 50k. One day I ran a 50k because frankly, I just wanted to. Why? Because that's just what we do!
These experiences are important because they show you that we are more capable than we think!
So what does this have to do with Clinch Performance and Recovery? What does this have to do with a Reno Physical Therapy clinic? Well, honestly I have a huge passion challenging yourself and opening up the possibilities in life, and the patients that come here feel the same way. Clinch Performance and Recovery is the physical therapy clinic in Reno for the individual who looks at something and thinks "Wow, that looks hard. I'm not 100% sure if I can do that." They'll see something that is challenging and scary, with a chance of failure. However, despite those thoughts, they have another voice in their heads that says "You know what? That is hard and there's no guarantee that I can finish that, but I know I can do my best and there is still a chance I CAN do it."
That's the same voice I had when I signed up for Ironman Texas as my first triathlon, with no bike and no racing experience. Despite that, I figured it out and finished.
It is a voice that moves them forward towards the thing that pushes them to get a little better, one step at a time, on a quest of becoming a better person, inspiring others, and doing things they didn't know were possible. This is the Reno Physical Therapy clinic that is going to do everything it can to help you fix your pain or injury, and help that voice in your head that pushes you to challenge yourself towards your goals and grow as a human being.
If you feel like this is the place for you, then book your discovery call today so we can get you going!

Tanya Sullivan: Client Liasson
I've spent time as a chemical engineer consulting in high temp fuel mixtures for manufacturing services, a laboratory medical technologist in toxicology, a Project Management Professional (PMP) licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in hydrology and hydraulics, and am currently a Girls on The Run Coach as well as track coach at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. I'm excited to add a new interest and role to my life:
Client Liaison for Clinch Performance and Recovery!
I have a long history of sports & activities and all of the well-earned injuries that have come with them. As an equestrian growing up, my mom said every time I fell off the horse I would learn something. She was right! That also applied to breaking fingers doing back handsprings on the beam, wiping out on ice tearing my meniscus running for University of Michigan Track, slamming shoulder first into Southern Utah's beautiful red rock off my mountain bike, tearing my hamstring playing soccer... just to name a few. The best and most important lesson of all is that I appreciate this body and try to take care of it as best as possible because it does amazing things for me! I hope these lessons go on for a solid-quality, healthy length of time as I share all of this with my three spirited and courageous daughters.
When I was young and in my schooling years, I was active because I had a lot of energy! It was natural and I feel blessed to have had parents who supported this outlet. It wasn’t until after college, when my team athletic time seemed at it's end, that I realized how much of a mental benefit I gained from staying active. I had jumped into that (chemical engineer) career job and thought I'd be resigned to a weekend warrior athlete. Oh no! That did not work for me! I was stressed and sad and didn't feel like myself at ALL! Whether it’s a transition from my workday before going home to my family or giving my spiraling thoughts a rest for a much needed change of perspective or just letting off some steam, the benefits are endless! There's a confidence I maintain that goes along with it: I can do hard things. There will always be hard things to challenge us in life, so I put in in the effort and I expect something from myself. That’s something only I can do for me. Plus, I expect to still be doing handstands when I'm 85!
I love to hear about other's adventures, challenges, victories and lessons in this one beautiful life we are given. I look forward to meeting everyone connected to Clinch Performance and Recovery!
