MYOFASCIAL DECOMPRESSION AKA "CUPPING"

What is myofascial decompression?

Aside from the "red circle things" that people see from time to time, this form of treatment is great in improving mobility, preventing scar tissue restrictions, assisting with pain relief, and improving range of motion.

It is different from traditional cupping, because it is used in conjunction with movement and exercise. This is great for the active individual.

This helps the tight tissue to glide better. Why is this important? It is important because tissue that can glide is healthy tissue: It reduces unnecessary tension and pain on tendons and also helps muscles contract more efficiently.

It is called "decompression" because it uses negative pressure to decompress sticky and tight tissues. It can also be used to facilitate (e.g. "wake up") underactive muscles or inhibit ("tone down") overactive muscles.
